There’s a bit of a trick to the sofa. I made the pattern specifically for it, but when I applied it to the sofa the pattern was a little small. So I reduced the tiling so the pattern appears larger, and I added another variation with a smaller tile so small patterns look better on it. The original sofa I modelled this off was super fuzzy, had almost a fur-like texture, and I wanted to sortof replicate that but I also wanted to be able to have patterns over the fuzz if I wanted, so what I’m trying to say is there is in total 4 variations (on the same mesh of course), 2 fuzzy (with different pattern tiling sizes) and 2 plain (with different pattern tiling sizes). You’ll get the picture when you play around with it in game, its not as confusing as I seem to be making it out to be. I just like options :P

You get a platform bed (with actual legs this time, not a solid base), which looks great by itself or with the headboard/sidetable combo dealie (found in Misc Surfaces), the curviest table lamp I’ve ever made (lol) a matching dresser, a super sleek diamond shaped mirror, a channel back armchair, some fabulous Japanese panel artworks, and a decorative fitted bedspread (found in Misc Decor). ~ Please note that the bedspread covers the entire bed, so won’t be suitable for normal gameplay. But it’ll look fab if you’re just into taking pics! ~

In case you’re wondering, I made the bed and headboard separate so I could have the maximum of options – slots for the tables, the ability to mix and match headboards for the bed etc. You will need to use moveobjects on to place it at the head of the bed. So there ya go :)

Today I finally have a dining set for you. It is inspired by the work of Danish designer Hans Wegner, and my love for his famous Round Chair.

Included in the set:
2 dining chairs,
a 3 tile and a 2 tile dining table,
a sabre leg high board (it’s like a sideboard, but taller and thinner! found in Misc Surfaces),
a candlestick (empty, found in Misc Deco, and a version as a table lamp with candles in it),
and a lovely bent wood pendant lamp.
OH YEAH! I also included a bunch of mid century art on the mesh I made for the Living Sims Christmas gift, so I figured I might as well share it with you guys :) Oh and I also included a pattern I put together yesterday which will fit in beautifully with your mid century homes. You can see it in the room preview, on the curtains. Love that pattern!

Now, as in real life, so in The Sims.
These tables & chairs are not cheap for your Sims! Good design costs money, so your Sims are either gonna have to save up or cheat like hell to pay for them :D

Hello everyone :)
This set is a danish inspired living set. It comes with: a low line armchair and loveseat (of course modelled off a real life yummy sofa), a coffee table, a sweet little puffin deco thingy (originally designed by Kay Bojesen in 1954), a tripod floor lamp, a hanging pendant lamp, and 3 wall panels which are actually paintings. One looks like a desk but I’m sorry to say it is not functional. Still, it looks good! The bookshelves aren’t functional either :) So really the wall panels are just pure eye candy. This doesn’t bother me, and lol, I don’t wanna hear it if it bothers you! It is what it is :).

I hope you guys enjoy the mid century goodness! I of course have enjoyed making it, immensely.

Good evening everyone! I have had this set kicking around for several months unfinished, so I thought it was about time to finish it up and get it out there :)

You’ll probably think I’ve gimped the set because it doesn’t include a toilet or a bath – and for some people this may be a deal breaker! Luckily, EA has a couple of baths & toilets that work perfectly with this set! (for the bath use the Plumbrite “Bathe Today” bath, and whatever toilet you like, they’re all fine). With that, let me go into what IS included with the set :)

I wanted a simple, backless shower – of which there are a couple out there – but I wanted one with a base, so there ya go. I saw this picture, and immediately fell in love with the beautiful raspberry sink (and her dress, but thats another story) I and wanted to make something like it! So I did. I also made some towels and separate towel rails as well! There’s also a nice big mirror for your Sims to admire themselves in, and a wall sconce to plop over the top, so that they may properly see themselves of course! I also thought a bathmat was required so made that as well. Also included are 2 shower curtains – one straight and one curved/corner. All in all there are 8 new meshes and one new pattern in this set!

The towels are a little tricky, I made them to perfectly fit on the sink (they are separate) and you need to use moveobjects to place them – their footprint should be under the sink. You’ll need to hold down the alt key if you want to place them on any of the other rails, no big deal if you ask me :)

So there ya go. I hope you guys like the set! You should be able to find everything if you sort your buy catalog by room > bathroom. Most of the accessories are in the accents category, and the big stuff is in the categories you’d expect them to be! Please let me know if there are any issues. By the way, the rar’s are big cos I included the images in there :) Should I continue to do this? Is it helpful for people to have them in there, or should I just leave them out to keep the filesize down? Your thoughts?

Before I get to the set, I want to point out what I think is a “must download”. The wood replacements by JaneSamborski at MTS, is what I recommend anyone who wants their wood furniture to actually look good, grab immediately if you haven’t already! I saw a pic of some of my furniture with default EA textures on it and I was a little freaked out, because my object didn’t look as good as it possibly could (I know I sound like a princess, but well, I get used to seeing the wood replacements as normal, and its weird to see the EA originals – which are ugly!). So if you haven’t already, I really recommend getting the wood default replacements from JaneSamborski at MTS.

I came across a picture of this sideboard while browsing Mid Century stuff, and it REALLY caught my eye. It is the “Paola” Sideboard designed by Oswald Vermaercke in 1959. Of course I immediately wanted one, but then I saw the pricetag. This is a $4000 sideboard folks, LOL. So once again, I live vicariously through my Sims. Once I’d made the sideboard, I threw together a few other pieces to complete a set for you, and I have made the a chair by Jens Risom, some decorative vases (the pattern is a Jonathan Adler one, not mid century but nice all the same!), a starburst mirror in large and VERY large, and to top it all off, a gorgeous Lightolier hanging floor lamp (I will also be releasing a pendant and sconce in this style soon). The sideboard is in the end table catalogue, and everything else in their appropriate sections (the ceramics are in misc deco).

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone!!! Hope you all had a magnificent day of eating and drinking and got everything you asked Santa for!!!
Before I get to whats included in this rather fabulous Mid Century style bedroom set, let me just remind you that the latest issue of Living Sims magazine is out now, head on over to Living Sims to check it out! There is also a brilliant exclusive free gift from Sims Art Gallery and myself as for you as well!

Anyway! This bedroom set contains many wonderful things. A simple platform bed, that is made fabulous by the addition of a strong linear headboard, which holds the floating bedside tables you see in the main picture. There is a left and a right version of the table, for better positioning. They are made specifically for this bed, but I have found with a little creative moveobjects+alt action, they look great attached to walls too!!! The headboard is separate from the bed, and is found in the Misc Deco section. I did it like this so that you had the option of having a simple platform bed without the headboard if you chose to. Talk about options!

Speaking of options, there is also a set of bed height cushions, which are the approximate height of all the beds in the game. The only snag is that because I couldn’t move the original bed pillows, they do show through these new dealies. Its nothing a little creative placement (using moveobjects on and the alt key to position precicely) can’t fix though. Another item included in the set is a double size comforter/blanket, made specifically for this bed, though it does fit beautifully on other bed-endless beds too. The blanket and cushions are all found in Misc Deco. You will need to use Moveobjects Off to place all these things (sorry, but my skills in that area aren’t that good yet!) The cushions will slightly merge into the blanket. Unavoidable or a good compromise, you decide!!

Also included is a bedside lamp, in a style that I saw a lot of when researching, fully recolourable, and GORGEOUS! I have also made a bench style seat for the end of the bed, which is also available as a coffee table too (you can see the coffee table used in one of the preview pics. 3 colour channels there. I’ve also included the fox painting seen in one of the pictures because it seemed to fit the set really well :)

Hi again!
Today for you I have another mid century styled set of furniture, as requested by the gorgeous and talented Leesester! (well, she requested the seating, I figured the rest out myself :P )
Included in the set (with 2 colour options per object, as seen in the pictures): The Cleopatra daybed (3 colour channels, in the sofa section), made in the 1950’s by Auping, a custom fit blanket (one colour channel, with new Awesims patterns as a default, in misc decor), 2 sets of throw pillows (3 colour and 2 colour channels, in misc decor), and a very low hanging George Nelson Saucer lamp (3 colour channels, in ceiling lights). Please note that the lamp is designed to have only plain colours or fabrics, as patterns will not match up – sorry! Why you would want a pattern on it anyway is beyond me, but there you go! Everything else should be fine. Use moveobjects on to place blankets and cushions, and hold alt to have more precision! Package and sims3packs included for convenience! Teapot set on the floor is made by Apple.
