In Hollywood, there is an expansive gated cemetery full of quite renowned figures in that town’s history. During the summer they have a vintage film series shown outdoors after sunset. Admission is usually open, and at least it used to be free. The public is invited to bring a picnic supper before the showing and though alcohol was not allowed, they weren’t very vigilant. :) I went there almost every weekend one summer when I was poor, yet rich with a new love. We watched many venerable old films on the big screen, propped up on a pile of pillows, wrapped snugly in a blanket against the chill that comes on so suddenly after dusk in that part of the country.
The light in your pics of the cinema part of the lot reminded me of those times, and I think I’m going to use the lot expander to separate that part from the diner. I’m going to build a proper cemetery lot around the cinema screen so my sims can have their own starlight film series.

Wow,this is gorgeous! I love both the meshes and the recolors,it’s all amazing! And the chair,even though it’s high poly,it’s not something that you are gonna put more than one or two of on a lot,so it’s not that bad.It’s not like a dining chair that you need at least 4 of and would add up.It’s a gorgeous chair,so it’s definately worth it.
I am not a creator in any way,so i can’t help with the slot adding thing,but if i could give an advice,or a hint rather…I know that LordDarcy from MATY,MTS2,SimsCave does a lot of slot-adding stuff for both Maxis and custom objects and i do remember he had a detailed tutorial either at MATY or MTS2 about that.He is very nice and helpful so im sure if you have trouble finding it or trouble with understanding it you can always PM him and i’m sure he will help you.
Although with all the OMSPs out there,especially the shiftable ones that came out lately,added slots are not all that necessary anyway.

Ooh! So pretty!! Now I really wish I could run Sims 3!
I have to admit I am really upset you won’t be creating more stuff for sims 2, because you were one of my favourite creators. This is lovely though! If I ever get Sims 3 I will definitley download it!
I’m disappointed that you won’t be giving out any more new pretties for the Sims 2 for those sticking to it. But have fun with The Sims 3 anyway because what truly matters is having FUN! I’ll still be checking back to admire your pretty patterns.
The buttons look so pretty! Well… ALL your Sims stuff is pretty…
Just a Thought: If you decided to make and sell them, you could also offer them on Etsy.com?

As I say, this button thing is just an IDEA at this stage, and was asking for opinions, and I even appreciate the negative ones. The buttons shown in this post are just an example of the button *idea* not representations of what will definitely be on them or anything. I have no intention of using copywrite material on them, anything I put up for sale would be soley created by me.
As for the patterns you obviously think I have stolen(?) – I have spent hours tracing these patterns myself, and I previously paid for one of them from iStockphoto (the feathery one, that as you correctly state is available in 2 colours at MTS2), so I am actually free to use it however I please. At the time I put that pattern together I had no idea anyone else had used it, my file is dated 04-06-09, and I just checked the one at MTS2, and it was uploaded on the 6th. So yeah. There ya go.
To reiterate – I would *never* sell *anything* that I hadn’t created myself, and Awesims will never, ever charge for Sims content.

I particularly like both of the desks and the bedroom set. I think you can click on an icon in the custom content creator—It’s either called “share” or “package” The same can be done for wallpapers and floors. But I’m not sure if that’s just for the exchange or what, cause I haven’t seen any furniture or walls on MTS3 or anywhere else…

There are definitely three patterns – One: The floral pattern on the walls on the first two pictures; Two: the floral pattern on the walls on the 2nd two pictures; and three: the circular pattern on the the chair cover on the 5th picture and the bedspread on the 6th picture.
I so love these patterns! Thank you very much for sharing these wonderful Robert Allen patterns with us. You know I’m in heaven.
As for your previews, I think they are fine. It’s a shame some folks cannot read, nor deduce which is which. Oh well, his loss….

What you do is you put a plain wallpaper or paint on the wall, then with the palette tool thing click on the wall, then Create a Style will pop up. Then you can just choose a pattern to chuck on there!

I have the expansion pack, and so far it hasn’t caused any problems. I can’t absolutely guarantee that it won’t cause blue lots, but I haven’t noticed it so far. The set was made using the TSRW, for those who are interested.

First of all I want to thank you for all the great stuff you’ve put out for TS3 so far. :) I think I’ve downloaded pretty much everything and loved it, but I’m usually too shy to leave comments.
The reason I’m commenting now is I’ve run into a problem. :\ I tried downloading the desk and lamp from this set but they won’t show up in my game. I’ve tried both the .package files and the .sims3packs with no luck. I have the same problem with the Sutter desk, all your stuff from before that works perfectly. I don’t know what’s wrong, don’t know if you can fix it, but if you could that would make me really, inordinately, super-duper happy. My game is unpatched and un-World Adventure’d, in case that information is useful.
I have the Maurin devil tattooed on my shoulder. This is really cool.

I also have some problems like Cecilia does. I installed your newest objects, but with the blue world issue and error 16 and some other saving errors, I got pissed and reinstalled my game without WA and without 1.6 or 1.7 patch :(
So I only have my game patched at 1.4 and your objects don’t show in the game. The problem is the patch version. Argh… I don’t want to install the new patch again. lol (But I miss the possibility of changing fences, stairs colors now.)
Well I couldn’t resist anymore, I removed all my CC and reinstalled my game and WA so I’m gonna use them lol

Just to let you know, (it’s probably suppose to be like this) but I have about 8 pillows in each of your sets & the patterns for all 8 are the same. Isn’t it really one in each set with just recolorable channels? Maybe I borked something during dl’ing. *blushes*
I freaking ♥ the fact that you make your creations as sims3.packs now! How brilliant hun! I’ve been trying to shy away from .packages just so that I can be a tad bit more organized this go-round. (Unlike TS2) hehe.
I’m intrigued that I can actually visualize all cc in my game through the launcher. It really makes for easier installs & uninstalls as time goes by and my dl folder decides to go on a diet. *giggles*

This is a simply stunning set. I could hardly wait to see it in my game. Alas, I downloaded it and it is not showing up in game at all. I had the same issue with the two previous updates as well.
Am I to assume that this has to do with the fact that I recently reinstalled my game and have only patched up to 1.46 ? I had soo many problems with 1.7 that ive refused to go down that road until they patch that patch.

In Hollywood, there is an expansive gated cemetery full of quite renowned figures in that town’s history. During the summer they have a vintage film series shown outdoors after sunset. Admission is usually open, and at least it used to be free. The public is invited to bring a picnic supper before the showing and though alcohol was not allowed, they weren’t very vigilant. :) I went there almost every weekend one summer when I was poor, yet rich with a new love. We watched many venerable old films on the big screen, propped up on a pile of pillows, wrapped snugly in a blanket against the chill that comes on so suddenly after dusk in that part of the country.
The light in your pics of the cinema part of the lot reminded me of those times, and I think I’m going to use the lot expander to separate that part from the diner. I’m going to build a proper cemetery lot around the cinema screen so my sims can have their own starlight film series.

Wow,this is gorgeous! I love both the meshes and the recolors,it’s all amazing! And the chair,even though it’s high poly,it’s not something that you are gonna put more than one or two of on a lot,so it’s not that bad.It’s not like a dining chair that you need at least 4 of and would add up.It’s a gorgeous chair,so it’s definately worth it.
I am not a creator in any way,so i can’t help with the slot adding thing,but if i could give an advice,or a hint rather…I know that LordDarcy from MATY,MTS2,SimsCave does a lot of slot-adding stuff for both Maxis and custom objects and i do remember he had a detailed tutorial either at MATY or MTS2 about that.He is very nice and helpful so im sure if you have trouble finding it or trouble with understanding it you can always PM him and i’m sure he will help you.
Although with all the OMSPs out there,especially the shiftable ones that came out lately,added slots are not all that necessary anyway.

As I say, this button thing is just an IDEA at this stage, and was asking for opinions, and I even appreciate the negative ones. The buttons shown in this post are just an example of the button *idea* not representations of what will definitely be on them or anything. I have no intention of using copywrite material on them, anything I put up for sale would be soley created by me.
As for the patterns you obviously think I have stolen(?) – I have spent hours tracing these patterns myself, and I previously paid for one of them from iStockphoto (the feathery one, that as you correctly state is available in 2 colours at MTS2), so I am actually free to use it however I please. At the time I put that pattern together I had no idea anyone else had used it, my file is dated 04-06-09, and I just checked the one at MTS2, and it was uploaded on the 6th. So yeah. There ya go.
To reiterate – I would *never* sell *anything* that I hadn’t created myself, and Awesims will never, ever charge for Sims content.

I particularly like both of the desks and the bedroom set. I think you can click on an icon in the custom content creator—It’s either called “share” or “package” The same can be done for wallpapers and floors. But I’m not sure if that’s just for the exchange or what, cause I haven’t seen any furniture or walls on MTS3 or anywhere else…

There are definitely three patterns – One: The floral pattern on the walls on the first two pictures; Two: the floral pattern on the walls on the 2nd two pictures; and three: the circular pattern on the the chair cover on the 5th picture and the bedspread on the 6th picture.

What you do is you put a plain wallpaper or paint on the wall, then with the palette tool thing click on the wall, then Create a Style will pop up. Then you can just choose a pattern to chuck on there!

I have the expansion pack, and so far it hasn’t caused any problems. I can’t absolutely guarantee that it won’t cause blue lots, but I haven’t noticed it so far. The set was made using the TSRW, for those who are interested.

First of all I want to thank you for all the great stuff you’ve put out for TS3 so far. :) I think I’ve downloaded pretty much everything and loved it, but I’m usually too shy to leave comments.
The reason I’m commenting now is I’ve run into a problem. :\ I tried downloading the desk and lamp from this set but they won’t show up in my game. I’ve tried both the .package files and the .sims3packs with no luck. I have the same problem with the Sutter desk, all your stuff from before that works perfectly. I don’t know what’s wrong, don’t know if you can fix it, but if you could that would make me really, inordinately, super-duper happy. My game is unpatched and un-World Adventure’d, in case that information is useful.

I also have some problems like Cecilia does. I installed your newest objects, but with the blue world issue and error 16 and some other saving errors, I got pissed and reinstalled my game without WA and without 1.6 or 1.7 patch :(
So I only have my game patched at 1.4 and your objects don’t show in the game. The problem is the patch version. Argh… I don’t want to install the new patch again. lol (But I miss the possibility of changing fences, stairs colors now.)

I’m intrigued that I can actually visualize all cc in my game through the launcher. It really makes for easier installs & uninstalls as time goes by and my dl folder decides to go on a diet. *giggles*
