Hi guys! I know its been a while since my last post, but I think I have a pretty good reason!
I present to you my first ever MESH SET for The Sims 2!!! I took it apon myself to learn how to mesh, and have come up with a pretty simple (but in my opinion, quite useful and practical – but still stylie) set of sideboards, shelves, a chair, and some deco.
*Please note that this set is apparently not The Sims 2 Base Game compatible (REQUIRES THE SIMS 2 FREE TIME I THINK), but I am in the process of making it compatible. Please check back soon to redownload the set if it is not working in your game – these things are expected when you’re a noob, right? :D
Included are 2 sideboards, one made to look like shelves, and one with cupboards and drawers. There are 2 slots on top of each sideboard, and unfortunately the shelves aren’t functional in the first sideboard howver I have used omsp’s to place a bit of deco in them (If someone out there knows how to add slots to objects and would be willing to give me a tutorial, please leave a comment and we can talk, i’d be eternally grateful).
Also included is a super modern ball chair, and I know there are others out there for The Sims 2 but it’s one of my favourite chairs so I had to give it a go. (Please beware though, this comes in at about 4500 poly’s – very very high I know, but worth it in my mind ;). Keep that in mind if you have a lower-end PC) The rest of the set is low poly so I figure it makes up for it!
To round out the set I have made some nifty CD wall shelves which are shiftable if you have AL, and can be moved quarter tiles if you have the Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff Pack, and a set of little deco bowls. Everything comes in a pretty excellent variety of colours if I do say so myself. Eventually I will do some wooden recolours of the shelves/sideboards, so stay tuned. I hope you like my first delve into meshing, I hope to be creating lots more stuff for you to practice! Please please please let me know if you encounter any problems with my meshes, and most of all, enjoy!

Wow,this is gorgeous! I love both the meshes and the recolors,it’s all amazing! And the chair,even though it’s high poly,it’s not something that you are gonna put more than one or two of on a lot,so it’s not that bad.It’s not like a dining chair that you need at least 4 of and would add up.It’s a gorgeous chair,so it’s definately worth it.
I am not a creator in any way,so i can’t help with the slot adding thing,but if i could give an advice,or a hint rather…I know that LordDarcy from MATY,MTS2,SimsCave does a lot of slot-adding stuff for both Maxis and custom objects and i do remember he had a detailed tutorial either at MATY or MTS2 about that.He is very nice and helpful so im sure if you have trouble finding it or trouble with understanding it you can always PM him and i’m sure he will help you.
Although with all the OMSPs out there,especially the shiftable ones that came out lately,added slots are not all that necessary anyway.
